Dang, great deal. Everyone else is asking crazy amounts for hard rocks. You paid for the tires and got the rest free.

  2. Keep the wheels, I’ll take the rest of the bike… i usually don’t do that but I will do it for you.

  3. The Hardrocks weren’t bad, just Specialized cheapest MTB, they usually had Cr-mo main tubes and hi-ten stays, though the Ultra/comp IIRC had nicer tubing, as well as less aggressive geometry.

IMO they are more overrated than anything, there’s people that would pay $200 for that just because it says specialized. $40 is a good deal.

  4. The internet says the one to find is a vintage Stump jumper. But honestly who really cares or can tell the difference. $40 well spent IMO.

Dunno bout other years but ‘91 hardrocks (all versions) had Shorter top tubes and longer chainstays than the rest of the line up, easier to make comfortable. Prefer my Hardrock to my singletrack annoyingly

What? That is like buying a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey because you like the bottle.
