Where did you buy? Doesn’t look like typical quality I’ve had or seen with high end giro helmets

Somewhat yeah. Your edges do look slightly rougher than mine, although I have a MET.

I’ve observed rough edges on a lot of the ultra-light helmets over the past decade (or more). Using the least possible material results in rough spots around the edges. Addressing the cosmetics ends up adding weight. It’s the same reason why ENVE’s rims can look a little rough compared to competing offerings… hiding the cosmetic issues in the layup (usually with paint and filler) adds weight.
Your helmet looks no worse than others that I’ve seen in the same performance class.
