AliExpress Bike (BXT) – My Review

Hello everyone, six months ago I decided to buy a bike on AliExpress from the brand BXT. I chose a road model, very aerodynamic, with integrated aerobars, Elitewheels 82mm wheels, and fully equipped with Shimano 105 Di2 R7170.

After months of testing in different conditions, here’s my honest opinion about this bike (non-sponsored, non-promotional).

1. Advantages:
   Thanks to its aerodynamics, the bike is very enjoyable to ride on flat terrain. You can easily reach 35–40 km/h and it really feels fast. The aerobars allow you to push further and reach speeds around 50 km/h. The frame is very stiff, making it highly responsive.

After many climbs, I noticed a significant difference in time compared to my climbing bike, but it was still pleasant to ride uphill (even though the wheels are heavy and require more effort). The Shimano drivetrain provided by the seller is genuine, and I haven’t had any issues with it. Battery life is excellent, just like with my other Shimano groupset bought in Europe, and it’s very smooth to use.

The handlebar is also very comfortable, and the saddle is super comfortable too (even more than my Selle Italia, though that’s personal preference). The aero accessories, especially the top-tube storage box, are a nice touch—both useful and stylish. For the price and profile, the frame weight is quite light.

1. Drawbacks:
   After testing the bike in tougher conditions (such as cobblestones), I felt some discomfort. I think this is related to the rim profile, which is something to keep in mind when choosing wheels. Another issue is the aero bottle, which started leaking water on every bump after only two rides, making it unusable since it would splash the chain.

The quality of the bolts on the aerobars could also be improved, as they wear out quickly if adjusted too often—but this is only a minor issue. Of course, riding in windy conditions isn’t very pleasant with deep wheels, but after switching to 38mm wheels, wind was no longer a problem (and climbing became much more enjoyable too).

Finally, I want to highlight the responsiveness and professionalism of BXT’s customer service via WhatsApp—they were very helpful in guiding me through my purchase.
