Recently purchased a new press fit BB from BB Infinate. Its a BB-30. I emailed them and asked which BB will work fornmu frameset and they told me to get the right one. When I pulled the bearings out from my frameset I see these C-clups still inside the frame. I tried to align the BB-30 I got inside the hole but it won't go any further because these are in the way. I'm assuming I need to remove them?
The frame is a Specialized Tarmac SL6.

Those c clips are the retainers for bb30 and are required for your typical bb30. Seeing as how you bought a BB from a different guy, and he’s already shown to be helpful in purchasing the correct BB, I would probably email him again for install instructions if you are unsure.
If it’s the once piece bb infinite kit then yes, absolutely.
If it’s the two piece kit, ie just two bearings, then no.
uh, are the old bearings and new bearings the same size?
