Never had a pair of Hookworms or Billy Bonkers, but I have a set of Continental Contact Speed tires on my hybrid road bike, in 700 x 42, and those things feel great. They really roll nicely.

Billy Bonkers for aesthetics and performance on an all-rounder that’ll see some gravel. Panaracers if you’re going further, faster on hard surfaces only.
Those hookworms are heavy and don’t offer any advantages over the other 2, imho.

Mark me down as a Continental fan. Been using them for a couple decades. That or Schwalabe are the only tires I consider, unless it’s an unusual tire size, that neither has offerings for.

My lbs only had hookworms so hookworms it is , apparently not the best tire but ive never gotten a flat and are 2.5 so really comfy

Billy Bonker or Maxxis DHR II (my top pick)

Depends on what you wanna do? I’d take the hookworms out of the equation unless you park ride or really like the big round look. They’re like 1kg EACH! that’s like 4 pounds of tire front and rear

I ran 26×2.5 Hookworms on my Big Dummy for almost 18 years but I just got some Surly Extraterrestrials and man I like them a lot more. Wait. I didn’t pick one. Oh well.

I’m a cruiser. I like my hookworms because they are comfortable and 2.5 inch wide

had bonkers and they were good, but tan walls aren’t for every bike so I’m going hooks

Hookworms are easily my most hated tire. Heavy and sluggish and miserable to ride on.
