Hello,
I had my first flat today and unfortunately have no experience with tubeless tires. Can this tubeless tire be repaired or should I buy a new one? It’s a Continental Grand Prix Black Urban 700x35c.

In older posts and YouTube videos, it was suggested that for larger holes, a piece of patch material or an old tire should be glued on from the inside. Then you could continue riding with a tube without any problems. However, the holes/tears back then were significantly smaller. Thank you very much!

Whilst it is possible to put a patch in there that is a pretty nasty cut, and even with a patch you might find that’s a bit too big for a long term fix, especially if you’re running pressures close to the tyre max, which I guess you might be given it’s a slick tread.

looks dead to me. even if you were running tubes, that would be a gonner, as the tube would bubble out through it

You fix that tubeless tire with a new tubeless tire, my friend.
I’ve been riding them only a season, and it’s been a learning curve; getting them set up, plugging my first puncture, etc.
    Have fun with it, right?
