  1. qr codes were originally used in automotive manufacturing. so maybe its for internal parts identification?

    just a wild guess.

  2. those QR codes are usually to identify parts at the factory. if it has a serial number, it’s probably stamped somewhere that’s not very visible.

    Have you tried scanning the code? I have one like that on one of my forks and its proof of it being an authentic fork since the design gets ripped off over in Asia where they have a decent reputation.
