So story time:

I swapped most of my parts from my 2002 Bianchi Ocelot (pictured here) to this new-to-me Schwinn Paramount Team frame I found at my local bike collective. I have no clue about the history of this specific frame, but it sounds like this was a premiere racing machine back in the 90s. It's now my daily commuter and occasional shredder of Sacramento River trails. The frame is stupidly light. I love it so much. It's definitely got some character and battle scars. I have no clue what's happening up at the seatube (looks almost like rust?) On the right rear brake boss, I was trying to remove the previous brake caliper I had installed and it wasn't budging. Long story short: hammers can weaken old steel, so my friend came in clutch and welded the boss back together (we love Ken!)

  2. How’s shifting with that 40t narrow-wide, 11-36 and that derailleur? Thinking of doing someting similar on my commuter.
