














I partially commute by tube, and this bike is a suitable weight (for me) for carrying up and down stairs but most importantly, it has handled rush hour without issue and takes up the same amount of space as a big suitcase.
In the past, I wasted money on what turned out to be the second most expensive bike I’ve ever bought—the ADO Pro. Let’s just say I learned my lesson: no folding bike comes close to a Brompton. That ADO claimed to weigh 19kg, but honestly, it felt more like 30kg. Anyway, moving on.
I chose the G Line Electric because, frankly, I’m getting older and wanted this to be my “last bike.” My goal is simply to cruise on my commute without it feeling like exercise all the time, my knees have been grateful thus far.
Since mods for this bike are still quite limited, I thought I’d share a few I’ve added (mostly sourced through AliExpress):
- Carbon seat post
- Coiled brake cable protectors
- Lightweight folding pedals
- Minimods XRoller Extender
- Inline skate wheels (rear)
- Omni wheels (front)
- Carbon short raised handlebar (on order)
- Ergonomic grips
- Bell with airpod compartment
The most expensive upgrade was the wheel extender, which came from Taiwan. After fitting and testing it today, I can say the bike now rolls beautifully whilst folded with the omni wheels. It no longer veers or tips to the right, and I can steer it smoothly by the saddle.

I love the idea of the bell with an Airtag (did you mean that, not Airpod?) compartment. Can you let us know which one you used, and if it’s any good?
It looks fabulous overall, and I’m really tempted by the folding pedal. But I’m getting more and more used to the G’s removable pedal, to the point when I use my 16 inch bike, I have to re-re-learn the muscle memory to fold the pedal. Maybe I should just hold out until I inevitably replace it with a P Line and embrace the removable pedal?
