Looks like a mid-2000s Specialized Allez. Best upgrade would be wheels and tires, the rest is fine for casual riding.

Ride it and enjoy it, if you feel like you need more bike. Don’t spend a ton of money on parts, just buy a better bike later on after you know you’ll invest the time into riding.
