First week of Argon 18 Dark Matter ownership

First full week of Argon 18 Dark Matter ownership and it was starting to need a clean

263km covered and lots of that has been dusty and dirty trails so the bike has certainly picked up some of that.

Cleaning was a breeze as it’s been ceramic coated and wrapped.

I had left the chain with factory grease initially as I just wanted to ride the thing (yes I know ideally it’s stepped of factory grease before it’s even used), but whilst the bike has been cleaned, chain has also had its first proper clean, stripped of all factory grease (Silca chain stripper) and it’s nice and super clean and just cooling down in its Silca Hot wax bath, I’m just waiting for the skin to form.

This bike has been amazing. Took it on a 85 km loop today taking in lots of trails and I’m loving it more and more each ride.

My lovely road bike has been neglected this past week but whilst I’m waiting for the hot wax, I did give the road bike a little drip on wax TLC

Gonna be torn of which to ride for the next few weeks at least but I’ll certainly be using the gravel more and more as the autumn and winter weather sets in.

Now I’m just waiting for my new wheels and the bike will be complete
