Countdown to French Riviera T100 | Hayden Wilde

There was nothing but heroics, drama and action in London in Round 4 of the T100 Triathlon World Tour.

In the comeback of all comebacks, Hayden Wilde returned to the big stage with a bang. Just 100 days after a near career-ending crash that resulted in six broken ribs, a punctured lung and a shattered scapula, the Falcon soared through the city streets to take the tape in an emotional victory in his very first race back. Questions were answered and doubters were silenced as Hayden showed the world exactly what he is made of.

Meanwhile, it was a fairytale ending to Lucy Charles-Barclay’s redemption story. A year on from pulling up injured in London, Lucy gave one of the performances of her career in a perfectly paced race, overtaking Kate Waugh in the final metres of the run to bring home victory in front of her friends and family. A first T100 win for the Brit and a huge statement of her intentions for the rest of the series.

Now all sights turn to the glittering French Riviera in the halfway point of the series and the pressure is on to secure those all important points in the Race To Qatar.

The series has been anything but predictable and no-one can be underestimated. Will we see familiar faces on the top step of the podium or will new challengers step up to take the crown?
