  1. It’s really good to see this and brilliant that they have their own cycle road. Can’t help feeling nervous with the children not wearing helmets though.

  2. i wish the general public in Britain where bike friendly minded. i ride in a permitted combined bike/people walking zone and i receive so many bad looks from people walking. in UK most people do not like bicycles or the people that ride them which is a shame. sometimes i get looked at as if i have two heads or something and i find that really annoying.

  4. It may sound at bit bizarre (at least to non-Dutchies), but I've always been told that I was born bike and all. Comfortably seated and ready to go! Even funnier is that I seemed to know all of the rules & how to behave in heavy traffic, feeling and anticipating the movements of everyone around me like in a intricate dance. Dunno, must be something in our genes. I expect to be buried alongside my bike, like we did in the days of old with our horses & boats. Cheers from Amsterdam!

  5. Spaniard here.
I bike everyday to take my kid to the Kindergarten.
And on the weekends I ride my mountain-bike. My town is 600 m over the sea level and next town is 800 m over sea level so I have to climb in bike to get there.
On dayly basis I use a city bike and a kid trailer. Not sure whether this type of trailer is usual in the NL. I do not think so as I do not see any in the video.
Fortunately I live in a small town in the outskirts of Madrid. We have some bike ways separated from cars but the cycling culture here is basically non-existent. Don't get my wrong there are a lot of bikers but the byke in my town is used for Sport instead of transportation.
