  1. body looks squashed on the lip, but makes sense cuz u have a huge FS mtb on basically bmx jumps. on top of being a lil guy

it honestly takes a lot to get a solid pull on a modern FS mtb on dirt jumps like that.

but ya. pull up and back if you want… but on a bike like that it will just cause you to come up short and case. would need more speed at the very least.

uhhh try to find more suitable jumps or consider a DJer if you want to learn there. :/

Yeah a friend told me that but I’m mainly looking for jump advice and critiques on my form and technique! Thanks for telling me tho!

2 months into MTB and trying to clear moderate-advanced jump lines is a one-way ticket to the emergency room. 🚨 On that note, you’re very lucky that wood was there and it wasn’t a gap, or you’d probably have learned the hard way.

Start with small jumps, learn how to ride them proficiently, before you snap a collarbone or rib.

I’m not being mean, but don’t think you’re going to proficiently send big jumps a couple of months in. You’ll get punished for not learning the basics in this sport.

You should be popping with your legs, it helps a lot. Do not pedal on the jump, only before. To pop just pretend you are jumping on your hands and feet but on your bike mostly on your feet.

Also do not let the bike control you, you should be controlling it. You weigh more than the bike, so in the air you should be the greater influence.
