  1. Don't call it a comeback… he's been here for years. And, you know, good for Jonas. But he's just not EXCITING to watch. He's always there… at the front… lurking… waiting… hoping for a window or opportunity… but he's not CREATING opportunities… he's not ATTACKING… he's not winning stages by going off the front with 50k to go and riding solo to victory… etc. He WINS sometimes… but in such a boring and banal fashion. I guess it's smart in some ways… it worked in 2 Tour de Frances… when he had a much better / stronger team around him than Tadej did. But Tadej is BY FAR much more interesting and exciting to watch. He's like the Mozart to Jonas' Salieri. He can only win if Tadej is not participating in the race or tour.

  2. Love how Rob doesn’t immediately say that Vingegaard actually won, and instead just says that he thinks he himself won. A small detail but part of what makes his commentary so much better than just about anyone else’s.

  3. First win in forever for Jonas. This would have been a finish for Roglic. I'm pleasantly surprised to see Bernal up there. Hope he can get back to his pre-crash form.

  4. As we all knew, Jonas is the man to beat here. You want to win the Vuelta-you need to beat Jonas. Yeah, easier said than done, I know. 😅
