A 10mm hex nut was suddenly on the floor when adjusting my sram NX eagle derailleur. Don’t know where it came from. Exploded diagrams also don’t show it. Any ideas?

did it fall out of the derailleur

Either it’s not the right exploded diagram or it’s not from the derailleur
i don’t think i’ve ever seen anything like that on a derailleur. the only time i’ve seen a hex nut is on cheaper derailleurs, where they are used to pinch the cable, but those are usually an 8mm nut with a channel for the cable to be routed through. i highly doubt this came from the derailleur.
That is 100% not from the derailleur.
