Got a 90s Fuji Nevada that I brazed a disk brake mount on to and added a surly ECR 27.5 as a Bikepacking/ adventure bike. I'm planning on hitting New Zealand this winter and only threw on random tires from the local co-op to finish the build. Currently at 27.5 ×2.4 in the front and 26×2.2 in the rear. I love this stance and have room to clear 2.3 in the rear. But I want something with good performance on roads and trails while not sacrificing the width. Most gravel tires a max out a little thinner. Any ideas?
