Hey there bike experts! I just got my first bike which had a broken rear derailleur. The part arrived and I got to replacing it after watching some videos, however I noticed the cage part pointed inwards (pictured).
This is probably one of the first times I've interacted with a bike so I'm not that knowledgeable, is the cage normally supposed to look like that? Could I have installed it wrong, or is there a way to adjust it?

The hanger, the thing it’s bolted to is bent. Take it to a bike shop they can straighten it while you wait (hopefully)
