I’ve been doing some mods to this Scott Ransom 920, and today was the first test ride. Despite the conditions the bike handled really well, and I’m quite happy with the results. Here are the mods:
The bike is an XL, and with these mods the reach ends up around 495mm reach and 1320mm wheelbase. The chainstays remain mostly the same at 438mm. It still climbs like a sea urchin, but that’s par for the course on a Scott with no Twinlock.
I use WTB Verdict (High Grip) front and rear, with 16 PSI up front and 19 PSI rear (with Rimpact inserts in both wheels). I’m 83kg + gear.

* -1.5 degree angleset
* 180mm Fox 38 Performance fork
* DVO Jade X coil shock
* Mullet wheelset
* 60mm rise handlebar
* 50mm stem (slammed)
