GoCycle G4i follow up owners review. My home city of Cardiff was meant to have installed at least one Cycle Superhighway by now. But due to the Pandemic and other delays, they are way behind schedule. It is getting there, but very slowly.
Hello Mark, As I already said in one of the previous videos I own one bike like yours. Almost 3 weeks have passed since I have it and I have made almost 300 km. Because I live in the Netherlands, it was quite expensive, around 5k euros. I would like to ask you if you ever have been stopped by the police since you have the bike? Last night I was coming home after overtime during the weekend and I just entered my building. Usually, I just fold the bike and place it inside of my flat to charge the battery or on the balcony. A few seconds after I went inside the building two cops went in as well just stopped next to me without saying anything. As the usual good evening and that's it. One of them was taking notes and looking at my bike and the other one was just looking at me, I was checking the mailbox. The bike has been set up by the shop from where I bought it in Amsterdam. It is blocked at 25 km/h and it doesn't have a throttle. Everything is according to the EU laws. It is any possibility for them to take my bike?
Last time I was in Cardiff I cycled the Taff Trail up to Coch Castle and beyond to Merthyr Tydfil on a Brompton. Got the train back. As I remember, it was a good run and much of it cycle/walking trails.

Would you recommend this bike for towpath use?

Which would you buy a used G4i or new G4 for same price?
I look forward to an update on service as maintenance is a major question I have. Thanks for all the excellent information on your GoCycle.
Great watching your GoCycles videos – just hope your able to improve the audio over time. 👍
