one reason (among many) why I'm a staunchly anti urban sprawl is because I want people to live closer to me so I don't have to drive a million (twenty) miles to get to them. every time I have to drive to the suburbs, a tiny piece of my soul dies a bit. and then I drive back into the city and see all the bikers rolling on by and I yearn to be them.

I had to switch to a car commute from my bike commute cause I moved further away from me job. I miss it so much
This one hurts…
Every time I drive to Costco, I think more and more about getting a bike trailer.
I use to be so mad when I wouldn’t bike because rain was forecast, and I’d be sitting the bus thinking “totally clear right now, I coulda biked” Next winter got a better weather app.
Had to drive the van to work for an appointment after work.
As I’m driving in the rain, I noticed it going in sheets across the road. I thought to myself.”WOW, I bet that would be fun to ride in.”
So true whenever I have to drive to the suburbs and I come back downtown and see everyone out and about I feel like such a loser like they don’t know I too am a cyclist
So true!
I can sympathise for both biking and car commuting. I work from home.
