bro, how strong are you? thats specced for a clampforce under 10Nm, goal here is to keep the saddle in place not bend it

This is second frame that has cracked and i have seen that some other people have had similar problems. Are Trek 520 frames just having big quality problems? I put in warranty claim in 1. of August and haven’t still gotten reply when i will get new frame. Last time it took 5 months. Is there hope that new frame will be better?

Haven’t had any issues with mine, and I’ve had it for a couple years. Don’t know the mileage though

Have you used the same seatpost on both bikes? Is definitely the correct size?
The weld near at the top of the seatstays does not look great, and the finishing for the seat clamp cut away also looks pretty average – but to have two nearly new frames crack like this in the same location still seems surprising…
