This generic sob broke on me in the middle of the street today. No injuries, its fine. Now I'd like to replace it with a Shimano. Should I go for Tourney or Altus?

Tourney has 170mm, which would make (a bit more) sense because my legs are kinda short for someone my height (1.75m). Altus has 175mm.
As I understand they got different chainlines 50mm for Altus, 47.5 for Tourney (whatever that means)

I got a KSW LTX 100 frame, a shimano altus rear derailleur with a 9s cassete (not Shimano, for sure). Front derailleur is a Tourney.
The front derailleur has been very annoying to setup. It will either be scrathing the chain on the 2 bigger cogs or take 3hrs to lower the cain to the smallest cog.
Worth mentioning I got chinese MicroNew 3×9 STIs – which work beautifully, at least on the rear.

Going for expensive parts is not really an option. This is like a < 250 dollar or so bike.
Thanks!!

It can be a cheap bike, but the beauty of quality parts is they can always come off the cheap bike. I’d check eBay for used parts to save some money and go for the highest spec within your price range. That’s my general advice since I’m not familiar with Altus or Tourney.
