9th August 2025 :
Day trip to see a few local follies between Bolton and Blackburn.
The goal was to see (and drone):
– Liverpool Castle (the Leverhulme replica)
– Pigeon Tower
– Peel Tower
– Tentering Tower
– Darwin Tower
– Hatch Brook Waterfall

Turned out that Pigeon Tower and Darwin Tower are quite a walk from the roads and biking gear isn’t really appropriate, so we gave them a pass.

At Darwin, we found a beautiful little memorial park, Bold Venture Park and I whizzed the drone into a tree and had to do a 10m climb to retrieve it!

It started to rain so we gave the Hatch Brook Waterfall a miss….another one for another day.
