  1. There shouldn’t be a gap in the weld to begin with. Not a rim tape issue, I think you cracked your rim along the weld

Ehh sealant will plug it. I’d probably contact DT Swiss before doing anything else!

Wheel is fine, rim tape got messed up on tire install or there’s no/not enough sealant in there.

Had the same issue on a cheap set of DT Swiss rims. Even wider rim tape didn‘t help so i closed the gap with epoxy putty. No problem ever since.

Is that air coming out of the breather hole?

Why is your setup in a tub of water?

Probably tape. I would add a little more sealant and give it a chance to seal (rotate tire for a bit), if that doesn’t do it, re-tape.

  7. The joints on some of these wheels will let air out i did get one warrantied from dt swiss , it leaked with the dt tape that was on there, and even after a re tape and also had a leak even after trying to fill the gap the wheel had in it.

  8. Muc Off sealant has to be the worst sealant available.

Orange seal endurance is probably the best balance.

Silca is awesome but that crap doesn’t come out of clothing.

  9. Are those the E1900? Not that it matters but had the same issue on my new ones. Kept bubbling out the crease. Tape was fine, sealant was fine and just wouldn’t seal. I was just using a floor pump so I let all the air out a reseated the bead with a compressor and all of a sudden it just worked. No idea if it just gave a better deal or what. Rode all season with no issues.
