Hi everyone,
I have a Canyon Ultimate and I noticed cracks/chips on the fork crown, right under the head tube where the fork touches the frame (see photos).
- Could this be just paint/lacquer cracks from contact with the frame, or does it look like a structural carbon issue?
- Sometimes when I ride over uneven surfaces (bumps, potholes, different road height) I hear a cracking sound in that area.
- The bike rides fine otherwise, but I’m worried if it’s safe to continue riding.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Canyon or other carbon bikes? Any advice if this is just cosmetic or if I should stop riding and contact Canyon support?
Thanks!

Most damage that looks like a crack is a crack, so you should stop riding the bike immediately. This post will be reviewed by the moderation team.
