  2. This body positioning is potentially dangerous. Your arms are almost fully extended and your weight is all the way back. With no weight on the front tire any off center impact is going to deflect it, throw it sideways, and you are going to go OTB. I’m glad you were fine here, but I would not recommend that you keep tackling features like this.

    Our brains instinctively move us away from perceived danger, but in this case it’s actually doing more harm than good. You want to be more centered on the bike. There are times when you need to get back on the bike, but if your arms are fully extended (or close to it) then that’s too far back.
