He cycled for almost 28 hours on just about every street in the city. The 750 km is because the city of Amsterdam celebrates her 750th birthday this year. Our rowing club has been struggling to put together enough money to expand for a while now.

    Just as an FYI to you and any others linking directly to Strava.

    When you link to your own Strava profile you give people a chance to see :

    * What you look like
    * Where you live
    * What bikes are in your stable
    * Possibly your IRL name

    Things you can do if you want to protect your privacy when sharing your Strava info:

    1. Just take a screenshot of what’s of interest, and then post the image
    2. Make sure you have your [privacy settings](https://www.strava.com/settings/privacy) on Strava set to have a fence around where you live
    3. Don’t put the actual make and model of your bikes in your Strava profile.

  2. Also pretty funny he did 1372m of elevation gain, despite Amsterdam being completely flat. It is all the little bridges over the canals adding up

    Hmm, averaging 25 kph on dense city streets in the center. For a day nonstop. Cars, traffic lights, pedestrians. Not to be a jerk but I think we need more proof than just this map.

  4. Insane. I completed a 350K this summer back and forth to my favorite café. However, this is three or four levels above!

  5. I don’t know man. Everyone is pretty busy watching the world crumble. I feel like we shouldn’t be bothered about saving your rowing club. Or was it about expanding? It said expanding on the gofundme. Anyway, expanding your rowing club probably doesn’t feel that important to people. Also I kinda feel like if you’re privileged enough to be enjoying a rowing club in the first place, and don’t even see anything wrong with asking people for money for it, you’re probably secure enough to afford the 7k goal by yourselves. Sorry.
