The bike is a 2023 Scott Metrix 30 EQ, I've owned for about a year now (purchased new, old stock). I probably have 100-150 miles on it. This doesn't happen all the time, but it is enough that I barely ride this bike anymore. When approaching a stop or when slowing down, I will drop from the big to small chainring. When it's time to go again this is what happens and I have to get off the bike and move the chain over onto the chainring.
You can see how frustrating this could be for example at a light that just turned green, line of cars behind, and you start to go for nothing to happen and have to push your bike to the side looking like an idiot.
I have debated taking it back to the shop I purchased it, but I'm not sure what adjustment would fix this and not sure this is a warranty claim. I have a Pure Cycles Road Bike with the same drivetrain and it has never done this once.
Finally posting here because I'm stumped

Have you looked at your rear derailleur?
Would be good to get close up photos of the crankset rings (both sides).
It’s possible that the small ring has been put on the spider the wrong way round or with the wrong spacers so that the gap between the large and small rings is too big.
Look at the front derailleur to. Looks like it may be going too far past the small ring.
Check front derailleur alignment
Is your chain just not on the smaller front ring teeth? Your L screw on the front derailleur indicates how far DOWN the front mech moves (stops) to your smaller chain ring. Looks like somehow it’s going too far. You need to likely turn that L marked screw out a little (or maybe clockwise?). Only an 8^(th) of a turn at a time.
You should see the mech shimmy out a little towards the bigger ring.
Also make sure all your mech and chain are fully lubed up with good wet or dry depending on if you ride in the rain.
Oil is not optional!
And watch this through and you will be an expert. Parktools vid on front mech tuning

Front derailleur needs a little bit of tension. It’s just not pushing far enough to get it up onto the large ring. A trip to the mechanic should fix this
Move the chain over to which chainring?
Look at the derailleur. Are they bent? Is the front in the correct position? (Up, down, left, right)
Dude, just take it back to the shop, don’t know why you wouldn’t have already? It’s either that the small chain ring is backwards or it’s just a simple front derailleur adjustment. Either way it’s a quick fix for the shop to do.
It looks like the front derailleur is turned with front outward
Go to the shop, it’s under a year old and it’s gonna be a quick adjustment job by the looks ot things.
