couldnt pick a better one for mdi in general. lived there with a similar old mtb for a few years and it was the best. if you’re still there check out some of the fire roads off the carriage roads, good stuff. and there’s one off of schooner head road that leads to a nice secluded beach. head out of town past the hospital, bear left to schooner head, and its like ~3/4 mile on the left, lil parking turnout but no markings. there’s some old structures of houses from after the fire in ’47 up there too.
edit-also in southwest harbor is a bike shop, stop in there, they’re all good guys and it’s a cool shop

Park Loop Road is one of the most pristine rides I’ve ever been on. Add Cadillac Mountain and link it to some of the carriage trails, and it’s perfect all-terrain.
