The derailleur hanger worked as intended, it broke. Everything else looks undamaged.
Get a new derailleur hanger and you should be good to go. In the future, go easy on the pedals when down shifting.

Hope you are okay! For your bike, might be a simple fix. Looks like just the derailleur hanger is broken, this part is easy and cheap to replace. It’s meant to break in an impact to protect the derailleur.

Man, I had this happen to me at about 13mph while trying to pedal faster. I almost ate shit. It’s a bad feeling. Derailleur, cable and new chain, I was good to go. Oh and had to have the rear wheel trued up due to the chain binding in the frame and bending the rim slightly

I used to carry a chain tool, in case of this. Shorten the chain and you’ll be able to ride out

Lol. Had this happened to me 2 months ago. Try not changing gear if you are climbing and also shaking your bike too much, some parts might get caught and your rear derailleur would snap off. I modified my bike into a single speed since it was old anyway
