this story is tragic you may have seen this place on Instagram it’s called The Stairway to Heaven and it’s been tagged in thousands of posts by influencers and Thrill Seekers alike as you can see it is not for the faint of heart or those with the fear of height the 130 ft long steel ladder goes between two mountains at a peak of almost 7,000 ft and the ladder shakes and sways as you climb it’s promoted as a top attraction for climbing enthusiasts and called the ultimate adrenaline kick you’re usually harnessed in but as you can see they are apparently pretty LAX with that rule just last week A 42-year-old British man was climbing it alone when he fell off the ladder plunging 300 ft into the valley below two police helicopters found him but it was too late Rescuers were unable to save him and recovered his body from the mountain they haven’t identified the man yet and it should go without saying but please don’t go to dangerous lengths for a good picture without the proper training

  1. Irony of having to fall down to go up. I can't feel pity for this sorry. If you do something like this and especially without harness your Just giving nature selection a chance to act. You know the risks amd if not that's even worse.

  2. I'm curious how this Stairway to Heaven was built. I'm sure it was an exciting project, and it should have been recorded on video or time-lapse photos. A safety net for this stairway (or a set of them) would be a lot easier to build, and would only add a modest amount to the project, providing a cheap insurance, and still giving almost the same thrill.

  3. I don't understand why places like this don't have water slides to get down that would make it much more worth the time climbing to the top.

  4. Two reminders:
    1. There are certain things in life you do not need to do
    2. These people serve their gods of social media and have sold their soul to get clicks and likes

  5. Yeah, he fell 300 feet. I would hope it would be too late. What would be worse is if it took them two hours to get there and he was still clinging to life and THEN died at the hospital!! That is literally a fate worse than death… the precursor to the death
