  2. Live in Alaska and same thing. I’m always worried if I stop for too long I’ll cool off and then have a hard time on the last part of the ride. I’m not in great shape, so 30 minutes into my ride I’m usually a soaking, sweaty mess so the rain doesn’t bother me too much, but man when that wind kicks up I’m done for.

  3. Southern California rider, on carbon rim brakes. Only once was I caught in a storm, when there was zero forecast of a storm. Scariest ride ever, carbon rim brakes with any moisture cease to function completely.

  4. I’ve mostly been a commuter. Rode through many of these. I used to pack a waterproof North Face jacket and would just keep on trucking unless the visibility got too bad.
