It runs all the way through central Scotland, just over 55 miles. The reason it’s called the Fourth and Clyde cuz it runs for the from the river forth in Edinburgh all the way through to the River Clyde in the West Coast. These have been lying derelictked for way over 20 years. These have got some sort of inflatable in them. I don’t know if you had them in your country or maybe do you still have them in operation, but many years ago, these used to hold um gas that would be piped into your houses so that you could operate your gas central heating, your cooker, etc. These big cylindrical things were gas, not gas chambers, but they stored gas. Um whereas nowadays gas is clearly just piped in from under the ground straight into your house. Just home from shopping for a birthday present for my great niece’s first birthday. Lee, that is beautiful, mate. That is lovely. God, I can’t believe it. Almost a year old. Your great niece. I remember last year you were telling me there was some new additions to the family. Rises from the east, setting in the west. So, yeah. Um, we’ve just left Annie’s Land, which you’ll probably know in this area, straight down here, and we’re heading towards Mary Hill or Kelvin Dale. Lots of people are out walking tonight, cycling, jogging, just really enjoying the last of the good weather for the day. Getting some steps in and relaxing. Her Yeah, her birthday is on Saturday. So, you know that way sometimes you just get you just get like itchy feet. That’s pretty cool. So, yeah. You know, sometimes you just get itchy feet and you want to do something. I had a look online. Yep. On the app called Sky Scanner. And I was looking at flights to either leave Glasgow or Edinburgh just to go away for a couple of days, Friday until Sunday or Friday until Monday. And I found flights flying out of Edinburgh with Jet 2 to Malaga in the east coast of Spain, southeast coast. and then returning from Malaga to Glasgow which would have been absolutely perfect. The flights were only £71 and I thought, get on that, Specky, book the flights. And I thought, hang on a second. Let’s do some research first. Let’s have a look at at hotels and, you know, host and affordable accommodation. Cuz essentially, that’s what I pride the channel on, affordable travel, um, affordable food and affordable accommodation. anything actually that’s affordable to the everyday person. I couldn’t find a hotel nor a host to stay in. I’m just glad that I didn’t book the flights um about an hour ago cuz I l literally spent, you know, 30 minutes there searching all the different websites to see how much I could get accommodation for. And there was one place and it was like £339 per night which is about 500 bucks Lee or just a little bit more. And I thought no to hell with that. I’m not going to do it. Couple of months ago guys all this all these bushes they weren’t here. Um and it’s crazy to see how much they’ve grown. But yes, guys, we will be off our travels again sometime very soon. Um, I’ll let you in on a secret to let you know where I fancy going. I want to go to Eastern Europe. Okay. So, I don’t know if I want to go to like Warlaw or Kov and Poland or go to Bucharest and Romania, you know. I want to do a lot of the Eastern European countries that I’ve not done yet. Even Albania. Um, you’ll probably see in the channel all the places I’ve been like Budapest and stuff. Budapest is a beautiful city in Hungary. But yeah, I want to do a couple of the Eastern European countries to to see what the value for money is like to see the culture and whether I would recommend it or not because I know there’s lots of content creators out there, but I always like to think my content is slightly different in the sense that I give you from like an honest perspective. I don’t go to all the the tourist traps. I go to different places where, you know, the locals would live. Um, but yeah, so I’m thinking maybe the end of September. Um, we’ll get a couple of trips in to somewhere in Eastern Europe. We’ll do a couple of different countries. Maybe two days in Poland, two days in Romania, maybe a day or two um in Albania, and then we’ll head down somewhere to like Croatia, which was part of the old Czechoslovakia, wasn’t it? Maybe head down somewhere like that for a couple of days as well. So yeah, I want to bring lots of affordable content for you guys so that you guys can make informed decisions for yourself in the future whether it’s something that you would be interested in. This weekend there are some budget friendly food reviews coming. Um, one in Glasgow and one in air which is in the west coast of Scotland. What is that big crow eating? I’m not scared of dogs, but these um pit bulls or whatever they’re called, they terrify me. They’re scary looking dog. You can get classes on late at night as well. I’m not too sure about through the night, but you can certainly get classes on late at night as well. Um, cost a coffee. So, there you go, guys. This was something I wanted to bring up. Even though I’m such a coffee lover, I found in the past year, my sleep disturbances have been crazy. And I don’t put it down to just like a Costa brand or Caffeine or Prettoon, Starbucks. Well, give them all a mention. I I found if I drink caffeine after 5:00 p.m. at night, it disturbs my sleep. So, I’ve got two choices. Have a coffee to stop the craving for a a delicious tasting coffee. Yep, I know what you’re going to say. What about decaffeinated coffee, Becky? I don’t like it. Um or come out a walk when the weather’s nice to take my mind off it. Just a slow walk like we’ve done tonight. That’s kind of caused the start of causeway head there before you turn left and go along to the Sterling University campuses through I not bad be part of Sterling Ionville or is in Sterling they call it Corton Corton. Everybody out enjoying the last of the nice weather until tomorrow. Sadly, my mom’s not here now. Jamie, I was still sleeping when you were still on this morning. Uh did have a watch back though. Everyone is still sitting outside enjoying an alcoholic beverage. I was going to stop for a coffee there as well, guys, but I’ve decided against it. This was too late. That’s all I think. You all right? I’ve unscrewed my light too far, mate. Oh no. Oh. Oh, holy shit. What am I going to do? Do you remember the fish fingers advert? Captain Bug’s eye. That’s who that guy reminds me of. He’s unscrew He’s unscrewed his light too much on his bike. It was my dad’s 29th anniversary. had all been here. And the 7th of August, I was telling loads of people, I’ve got a few friends who have had family members pass away in recent time. And I says to them, do you know something? I was speaking to my my one of my other friends. I’ll mention her name. I was talking to her on another another social media platform. Um and I’d said to her about um she was telling me it was only like a year or something or two years her dad had passed. And I says, “Well, if you were a good mate,” she says, “I meant best mates.” I say it’s probably myself and mold man growing up when I was a wee boy as well. Everybody thought their dad was their best mate, didn’t they? Um but I says to say I still hear my dad’s voice as clear as day as if I just spoke to him yesterday. Um so I think we just learn to live with these things. Um we never go over it. We definitely don’t. But I always think it’s good good to um talk about um our friends, our family, our moms, our dads, whoever it may be. It might have passed. I think it’s always good to talk about them and keep them current in your life. It doesn’t matter if it’s like myself 29 years or 29 days, you know, continue to talk about them. Um I think it’s important. I think it’s good for your own spiritual healing. Um but I also think it’s good um you know to to never never ever you know not talk about them or forget about them. Um let’s have a look. So, this little park down here, I take little specky to this sometimes. It’s just a small park. Um, I’ve only got a couple of things for kids, but little Specky absolutely loves it. Little Specky, I’ve got her in Monday coming, Gemma. So, I’ve got like a spare weekend. Jamie got a spare weekend this weekend. So, I’m going to go out and do a couple of food reviews for you guys. And they’re all going to be budget friendly. Hopefully, good enough as well um to show you guys some good affordable food. got this little trampoline. It was burst a couple of months ago and they’ve recently just fixed it which is really cool. Um just a small park. Little Specky absolutely loves it. But this trampoline is proper cool. I love it. There we go. That’s as much as you’ll get for me just in case my left leg goes. But yes, there we go. Beautiful sunset in Glasgow tonight. Um guys, I am off for tonight. I will be back again tomorrow. Don’t know what time, but I think we’ll be out early tomorrow, that’s for sure. I’m going to take the vlogging camera with me. Really, really important cuz I think I’m going to do a food review tomorrow afternoon in Glasgow City Center. So, I’ll be doing a live engaging with you guys, catching up with you all hopefully. And um I’ll use the vlogging camera. I’ll bring it home and edit it. I’ve actually still got two vlogs on my camera that I need to edit and upload and I can’t remember where they’re from.
