if you have tight pu foris issues like sciatica then what’s likely going on is that tight Pur foris is compressing the backside of your pelvis this is putting pressure on the sciatic nerve and the action required to open up that space is hip internal rotation so to easily open up that space place a ball or foam roller in between your thighs get a soft Bend in your knees and your elbows and keep your eyes straight ahead now slowly walk your hands down the wall as if you’re doing a hip hinge maintaining a neutral pelvis you’ll reach a point where you feel a little stretch in your glute stop there then just add a very slight squeeze to the ball and maintain this position breathing and keeping your weight through your midfoot if this is too challenging then going down to your knees can be a great alternative

  1. Hi Conor. I love your helpful videos and i subscribed. I have cervical stenosis and L5 sacrum impingement. I've had stuffy nose and stomach gas issues on and off. Is there exercise that would improve and strenghthen my neck and back to relieve these symptoms for good? Thank you for any help.

  2. Every step on my left side exposed weakness and pain just above my left side glutes. I tried just 5 squeezes in this position and the pain is already subsided. I am walking pain free. So simple. So easy.

  3. Never seen this pirformis muscle correction b4. It hurt when doing it . Hirt across the areas connected to low spine. Not severe pain, but painful stretch to the area

  4. I started doing internal rotations stuff with the hip which has caused the Piriformis and hamstrings to ache, would this not cause the Piriformis to shorten & get tighter?

The figure 4 stretch helps externally rotate the hip & stretch the Piriformis out

  5. Oh thank you this is exactly what I need right now
It can be fine one minute and bamm..
stretching it feels so good. I was healing and bed ridden for months. So hard for someone that always tried to stay in shape. Then I did a bit too much and this butt 🍑 pain. Thank you for the new exercises, helping me .

  6. I got mine to pop by accident.

It shot like lightning up my hamstring to my tailbone even to my stomach. 😅.

Im free of pain and can walk & bend better without pain. 😮

  7. Thank you!
I don't know how long it will last, but I did this once and it gave me a release, almost emotional.
I will continue to do it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!❤

  8. Thank you for posting this! 2 days in pain after my sciatic nerve got pinched near my left hip– 1 repetition and it's already feeling a little better!

  9. What causes this? I believe this is the issue I have. I developed a beer gut over the last 3-5 years and feel like the increased weight in my stomach is causing me to exert more than normal force to remain upright. Is this correct? Like I’m working my ligaments and back muscles too much in order to maintain posture.

  10. The tingling feeling down my leg to my foot started feeling better! Amazing!!! This is the relief I've been looking for for MONTHS! Thank you!!!
