I’m looking to upgrade my gen 3 checkpoint with a mullet setup on soon. Currently i have the Gx eagle derailleur along with the gx eagle cassette set aside and an xdr wheelset and chain soon to follow.
Im planning on going with a wolf tooth front chainring but not sure what offset to go with. i dont know the frames chainline numbers either.
has here anyone done a mullet setup with this frame and what front chainring and offset did you go with? Any advice or things to keep in mind going forward? why’s the sky blue? thanks yall <3

6 mm is ideal. 3 mm works too, but it’s gonna be noisier on the bigger sprockets and you might drop the chain when backpedalling. Shifting should be fine though (according to Wolftooth).
I use a Sram Force Wide (47.5mm) with GX transmission and I don’t have any chainline issues.
How is turning this bike into a mullet an upgrade?
Oliver: here is the link to the chainring you need.

I did exactly the same thing. GRX to mullet. Will definitely help you with climbing. I ultimately went 38 10-52 as I have some huge hills with sections at 15%-19%. Made a huge difference for me.
For me mullet is the only option as well (I converted all bikes to 1x and won’t go back) as when backpacking I really need the low gearing to get up hills.
