What if Berlin’s most iconic railway vioaduct became a citywide bike highway? The charming UI’s elevated railway vioaduct stands as one of Berlin’s most iconic symbols and creates a strong urban edge where it once marked the city’s southern boundary. The Radb project reimagines the space underneath the Uines, transforming it into Berlin’s first continuous, mostly covered cycling corridor. This nearly 9 km bicycle highway would connect Shalottenborg, Shernburgg, Kitsburg and Friedrien running from Togasharten to Vasha Ashtrasa. Throughout its length, it harmoniously interweavves with the beautifully designed vioaduct stations, parks and canals that form this active urban spine. In the same spirit as the uines, function merges with beauty as the protected path runs through the heart of Berlin’s vibrant neighborhoods, offering ideal conditions for a well-lit, weatherprotected, traffic safe cycling experience. Each of its seven segments demonstrates how history, nature, water, street life, and forgotten urban spaces can be woven together into a meaningful public infrastructure landmark. Over the next few weeks, we’ll take that journey across Berlin together, going into each of the seven segments of the track in detail. So, if this is your cup of tea or beer, follow along for more.

CDU rather have a covered car park🤤
I would rather take the U1. View is much better from the top.
