Bike seemed fine, I got a huge nail that went through the back tire and out the side wall. Tire was toast so I bought a new tire and installed it tubeless no problem. The cassette had a BIT of play so I tightened it a bit before putting the tire back on. Once everything is reassembled there is A LOT of play on the back wheel. Anyway after taking the wheel off I see this. Is that normal or is the axle toasted?

Yeah it’s toast. New axle at a minimum, but depends on the state of the rest of the hub. Depending on your financial situation and patience a new wheel might not be a bad option.
