Cycling around the Langhe hills in the Piedmonte wine region.
good morning um i’m having to keep my voice down because it’s fairly early it’s about seven in the morning um and we’re in a bit of a well we’ve got people asleep anyway so i’ve just got to keep keep my voice down but um we’ve driven up to a place called la mora which is about an hour and a half from souzi and this is the wine region of pier monte um this is the car but look at this for a car park with a view oh man i hope that is coming out on camera these are all the vineyards um barolo is off in the distance over there some of you might know the wine barolo it is often regarded as the the king of wines and well as you can tell by my attire i’m about to go on a bike ride around the vineyards um i am actually heading over towards barolo so um hopefully it’s a bit cloudy um but hopefully we’ll get some good shots [Music] okay we’re in barolo this is barolo center uh you’ve got a castle behind me i think you might be able to make out the castle hopefully we’re in the old town of barolo shall say that again we’re in barolo some very nice wine here it’s all very quiet still early in the morning hoping to get a coffee but looks like it seems to be up [Music] you stopped here because um later on today we are going to marrone we’re going along there we’re having a wine tasting lunch so uh fantastic superb but this area is absolutely littered with cantinas obviously um see vineyards just here vineyards everywhere and you can just rock up well actually we’ve booked um but uh yeah you just rock up to any of these places have a bit of wine tasting and some nice food so that’s why i’m on my bike so i can earn my lunch today just stop at this little vantage point to show you where we are um so the rolo we’re staying at uh la mora which it’s perch on the hilltop it’s up there on that hill top there so that’s where i started from this morning came into barolo i was hoping for a cappuccino in barolo but nothing seemed to be open very early still just look at that scenery absolutely stunning when the sun’s coming out i think we’d have a bit of blue sky it’s quite nice with the clouds it’s a bit atmospheric isn’t it [Music] but so these roads are so quiet absolutely great for coming out on your bike where we are in uh where we are in la mora there is um e-bikes for rent and uh i’m sure no matter where you stay in this area you will be able to find e-bikes or if you’ve got your own bring your own bike out because this is this area is fantastic for cycling and wine tasting finally found a cappuccino [Music] so [Music] i’m back in la mora now that was a nice little giro what a fantastic place to come and explore either on foot on bike um or just just come in the car and enjoy the uh the fantastic scenery and the wine and it’s only an hour and a half from sowsy so and it’s uh you can have a two cent holiday stain soundsy for a few nights then come down to the wine region okay i better get back down and get ready for lunch [Music] yet there’s probably a 50 euro bottle of wine on the floor there

Is it legal to be under the affluence of incahol whilst cycling in Italy? Haha
Thanks James, I so enjoyed that ride round the vineyards 🚵♂️😎🍇 that was … FANTASTIC 😊 ! Best wishes 👋
Morning James. Another top quality film. When are you going to get a proper job. ? 🚴🍷
👌🏻👌🏻❤️👍🏻🚴🏼🍷
That looks fantastic, and it's great to see you wearing a helmet!
After years spent reviewing the white stuff, nice to see you move onto the red stuff. I remember ordering three glasses of Barolo, in La Seggovia, only to be given a price warning by Sarah. Anyone believing its just your average red is in for a shock….one price & two, it's delicious! I'm hoping to be in Sauze this season & will be looking out for the arrival of the white stuff!
