My bike does not like shifting gears , whatever setting i twist the barrel into it just doesn't want to shift. The best ive gotten it was everything being kinda rough and it wouldnt shift up into 5. Do i have to straighten my derailleur or is there something i'm missing?

Pics clean but it is still hard to tell. It looks bent inward at the bottom end of derailleur as well as twisted?
Did you have a fall when the rear gear was in high (smaller cog)? That would explain the twist. (ninja edit…)
ETA: derailleur alignment gauge is available at any LBS or coop. Find coop, fix it yourself for cheap. It is one of easiest tool to use.
Yes, it looks like your derailleur hanger is bent. A bike shop can bend it back in place for you.
No,
Only hanger is, but your RD is fine
Mech hanger is bent, maybe even cracked.
Doesn’t seem to be but the rear derailleur hanger is very bent. To straighten it, you need a rear derailleur alignment too.
But if the cage is bent that’s a easy fix. But don’t fiddle with that until you straightened the hanger. Especially as it doesn’t seem bent.
But for future reference you can take off the inner cage plate out it on a flat and smooth surface and tap with a hammer. And tap th either and reassemble.
But if it’s slightly bent a tthe bottom pinting to the chainring don’t bother, as new rear derailleur has that built into the design.
