The crazy thing is there is people out there with potential to get there but because of the constraints of day to day life and work they don't have the time to race their way up the ranks, my brother got pretty far up nationally atleast when he was young but it fell apart as he got older and bills came in, I got up a little bit but nowhere near what I'd have liked to if I had more time on my hands to train because I started at 29 from never having done any racing and I'm 33 now, I love this sport but there's definitely a thing about access to it for everyone bar those with the money to get the ball rolling
