Hey !
Need some help, Yesterday I slammed my rear dĂ©railleur (sram GX 11sp) on some rocks and since then, it takes a looong while to go down thĂ© Gear, when it doesn’t need help.
Right After the slam it was stuck in a forward position with let’s say, the Spring not being able to bring it black.
With some help it came back. But now it’s hazarderous to go down the Gears. No problĂšme going up.
To me it doesn’t seem to be a cable problem since I Can see it releasing the tension, but Can be wrong.
Joined a video.
What you Can see :
-At the beginning, I am 3 Gears lower on the shifter but nothing moves.
– I then show no tension on the cĂąble
– Then I help the dĂ©railleur going down, kind of unlocking it
– Switch some Gears down
If you have some ideas, that would be wonderful ! đ
Thanks
Help, rear dĂ©railleur won’t go down đ

Iâm not super mechanical but is it locked out? Sram can lock out should unlock if you straighten more. Look up a quick YouTube video on how it locks and unlocks, easy fix.
Did not find the édit button so adding here :
– Sorry for the typos
– While riding, it has kind or a laggy feeling, what I mean it that the gears will go down, but it takes 10 secs to do it after shifting.
That’s what is making it super strange to undersrand for me.
Maybe there is some damage where the allen wrench is? It could be to tight that’s why it stays in the position when you loosen the tention of the shift cable.
I can give you ideas, but take it to a shop. That’s genuinely why they exist – to fix things you don’t know how to. And if they’re a good one, they’ll show you how they did it.
