Found this bike new at a local shop and it says it's 48% off. I know it's a couple years old but would this be a good first bike? I've heard that specialized is often times very overpriced so I don't want to overpay if I can get a better bike for the same price but I saw it's over $1000 off so curious if it's worth it at that price.
If there's other brands you'd recommend I'm willing to look at other bikes. Other option is a canyon bike but those are another $600 on top of this price and I've looked at the state 4130 all road bike but based on my research that's a lot worse than this bike for only a couple hundred more.

You could also look at a Primos, even better priced.
But this is really well priced. Would need to see the components.
It’s a good deal but make sure it fits you even if its “your size”. You wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes in your size that pinched your little toe. Bikes are the same but they last longer so you have longer to regret your purchase. Also look at Canyon outlet bikes.
