  1. Interesting one. The car was driving through a no entry, accelerated towards a hazard, had a collision and then failed to stop and report. A possible hit and run. Mikey did roll his bike in front of the car. They could have stopped and chose to go faster. In hindsight probably best not to have pushed the bike out there so 80/20 against the motorist I’d say.

  2. I'm a subscriber but I never comment, however, in this instance…

I saw the footage taken by the man who was shouting on the pavement. IMO you acted recklessly when stepping out in front of the car. While I'm not excusing his behaviour, you left him with little room to stop, even if he'd wanted to. Had the driver panicked and swerved then it could have resulted in you being hit and not your bike. You need to take a step back before you get hurt to reflect on the fact that you are not a law enforcement official and have no powers to randomly stop vehicles while in motion. In fact, by doing so, you could even leave yourself open to responsibility for any damage incurred.

This may seem harsh but I believe it's warranted. You could simply have recoded any incidents from the safety of the pavement and reported as required.

I usually like your videos but I can't condone your actions on this occasion.

  3. This wannabe vigilantism has clearly gone to your head. You're more interested in LARPing as someone with authority than you are in actual road safety.

  4. Your a complete liar. You threw your bike init that car.
I’m reporting you to the police and demanding they take action against you.
Your a danger to the public

  5. This is showing a very dangerous mindset and you need to learn to move on, you could have caused serious harm to yourself or even a child walking past! So dangerous and you need to probably be assessed for your own health.

  6. Nah you are wrong. CM's response was grossly disproportionate and caused unnecessary damage to a vehicle. As an entitely separate point – CM is not a God, there could have been a number of reasons (legally) that the man had to enter the no entry sign of which could be a valid defence. CM played judge, jury and excutioner (of his own bike)

  7. Both Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835 and the Highway Code suggest it’s not legal for a cyclist to ride their bike on the pavement. Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835 prohibits “wilfully riding” on footpaths, which refers to the path at the side of a carriageway, not only you but others around you, no entry signs work both ways but you seem to forget the other push bike riders on the footpath opposite ,

  8. At the end of the video you wrote “tough, don’t use your car as a weapon then”. You literally used your cycle as a weapon when you threw it into the path of a car.

  9. Mikey, you went too far. If you want to hold drivers to a high standard, you yourself have to be perfect. I seriously think you need to help some help and cease what you do. You’ve lost any credibility you may once have had.

  10. Mikey your cause is commendable but please stop with the theatrics. Just record the offence, pass the footage to the police, and let them do their jobs. You don't achieve anything by accosting these drivers, stepping in front of their cars, verbally reprimanding them, or pushing a bike into them. Is your goal to improve road safety or to get views on YouTube?

  11. So Miky, youre out cycling in flip flops looking for accidents…indeed causing one in this instance. You do real cyclists harm by your provocative actions.

  12. Why did you continue through ROAD CLOSED NO ENTRY signs and throwing your bike at a car ,Criminal damage. Shame on your behaviour you should be bigger than that

  13. In terms of liability for the damage, it's very likely to be 50/50 because they both could have given way to avoid a collision, but chose not to.

On a separate matter, the driver committed 2 offenses, one of which is quite serious. The first is he drove down a closed part of the road. The 2nd, which is quite serious, is he committed hit and run. Even if Mikey was 100% responsible for the collision, the car driver is legally required to stop.

I'm not sure if Mikey committed any offences. One of the comments accused him of committing criminal damage, which is a bit inaccurate. A collision caused by 2 road users refusing to give way wouldn't really be called criminal damage. And as for the vigilantism, i.e., Mikey enforcing laws as a citizen, I'm not if that it considered a criminal offense.
