I’m looking into buying a full suspension bike without breaking the bank. He says it’s a 2022 that he bought for $2300 and he’s asking for $500. It seems like a good deal, but I’m no expert. Any help would be appreciated!
well, he definitely didn’t buy it for 2300, but 500 seems like a pretty fair price

I don’t trust OfferUp. It’s a $500 bike if it’s not stolen…

If it’s the right size I’d say it’s a okay deal. It checks off all the boxes besides not having a dropper post.
1. Air fork
2. Hyydro brakes
3. Clutched 1x drivetrain
4. Tapered headtube
5. Boost spacing.
I can’t speak to the quality or geo of the frame, but on paper it looks solid.

My first MTB was a Haro Shift R1 and it was a great first bike. For $500, you’re getting a ready to ride bike. The fork is pretty basic and I’m sure the shock is as well. You’ll need a dropper post if you want to do any “down-hilling.” Counter offer $400 cash and land on $450 out the door. Good luck.

The whole ad screams hot and the “seller” doesn’t even have a clue what the hell they are writing.
That things hotter than the crowd were when Hogan turned heel on Nitro.

Not a terrible price for a FS with a decent XCR air fork, XFusion shock, and decent looking components. I doubt Haro ever sold that for what he is claiming he paid though. That was probably their advertised “MSRP” at one point, but chances are it sold for a lot less. Looks like the current model goes for around $1699, so still a solid deal at $500 if he is a legit seller.
I would also budget for a dropper post since it doesn’t have one.
