3 years of IVF and dozens of surgeries and finally everything is looking good enough to make the announcement! Gender reveal party will be on his/her birthday (we want to be surprised).

Definitely my priorities have shifted, and my play on bike time is going away, but I’m totally ok with that and looking forward to rides with little guy/gal! Some of my best memories and why I’m so into bicycling comes from bike rides with my dad.

Side note, we haven’t picked out names yet… Any biking related name suggestions? Wife isn’t cool with “sir Exteear M-Ninefitty” or “Grant P the II”

Congrats! Are those his and hers Bridgestones back there? Loving the matching components like the lights n skewers

Congrats! Kid’s are pretty much Xbikers anyways. Me: “OMG, NBD!” Kids, “Umm, it doesn’t have a bell? No reflectors on the spokes? No kickstand?”

  3. Balance bikes are the best. Training wheels are a trap too never use them. My kids went straight from balance bikes to regular bikes with ease around 3.5-4yr. There’s also the little 4 wheel scooters

I let mine use these indoors. They learn how to build up speed pretty well on them.

Also it’s easiest to get your kids to wear helmets when you start them right away. Mine weren’t allowed on the balance bike at all unless they wore their helmet. Other parents I know are struggling to get their kids to wear theirs because they stared late.
