day 49 biking from Norway to South Africa! our final day in Denmark! 🌟 #biketour #bikepacking #travel #adventuretravel #cyclist

welcome back to day 49 of biking from Norway to South Africa and day six biking through Denmark we woke up to some rain which felt really good after a kind of sweaty night sleeping in the shelter so we waited it out for a minute and then got on the road we had another pretty big tailwind today so we wanted to take advantage of it pretty soon into our ride we stopped to check out this sculpture that was super cool and very large and then we continued on we were planning to make it to the German border today so we knew we had to put in a bunch of miles to make that happen we continued following the one cycle route for the whole day so again it was just so nice getting to follow the signs and just like ride without really having to think about too much we cycled through to Denmark’s oldest city and met up with someone who follows us on here who we actually saw in Iceland a couple years ago when he was doing his walk around the ring road so that was really cool we walked around the city for a bit but didn’t want to stop for too long because we wanted to continue making some progress so we picked up some groceries and headed on our way we both were feeling like we could really use a shower and a sleep inside so we decided to find an Airbnb which we did pretty close to the German border um so we pushed on for maybe like 20 more miles and we got to do some more riding at our favorite time of day like late in the evening um the light is just so beautiful and it’s just a very peaceful time to be out but I was getting pretty tired and definitely really excited to make it to the Airbnb cycling in Denmark has been so fun like the route has been amazing and the landscape has been obviously super different from Norway but really beautiful in its own right and yeah we’ve just had such a good time but we are also really excited to get to Germany and just continue on the trip so yeah very excited for what’s to come that’s all for our final day in Denmark and I’ll see you tomorrow in Germany
