    Not at all
But that’s a wild rig tbh.

    100miles in one day?

Just take that exact rig for a spin on the worst road nearby and test if everything stays on the bike.

  2. Yeah go ahead and ride it for like 20k. Loaded tail bags like to wiggle but you should be just fine.

  3. Hello from Cambridge. I want to do exactly this, so I’m interested in your post trip report. From my hiking experience – I haven’t done bikepacking yet – I think you’re carrying too much stuff. Go through every item, and disgard anything you don’t absolutly need e.g. 1 socks worn 1 spare, 1 clothes on bike 1 spare etc. I would get a frame bag and try disgard the backpack. The mallet can go, the d-lock you may want to disgard (keeping the bike with you at all times) and the tent looks too heavy. Good luck!

  4. It can work, but it’s definitely not ideal for your bike — I’m sure you’re over the recommended system weight.
Old, lightweight carbon parts and wheels with just a few spokes aren’t designed for this. Be gentle, be cautious, and avoid going too fast downhill with all that weight.

  5. Is that a rucksack? That’s a fat no from me, your back and shoulders won’t thank you. Put all the weight on the bike.

Rucksack load is supposed to be no more than 20% of your body weight btw, though that’s just a rule of thumb and comes from hikers. You may be hard as nails for all I know 🙄

I wouldn’t carry a backpack. You’ll be working way too hard. Get a rack and some panniers or handlebar bag and saddlebag. This bike can totally tour, but you’re the engine, don’t restrict the engine.

No, should be fine. Add a bit of pressure to the tyres (unless you already run them very hard). Enjoy
