And yes I use a brake. I haven’t used my action cam in a long time so I decided to record my ride! I’m sure no one wants to hear me huffing and puffing uphills so I’ll upload a downhill section instead 😂

The ride
39.47 miles
1,886ft elevation gain
18.5mph average
02:08:06 moving time

The bike
Dolan Pre Cursa
State carbon wheels
48/15 gear ratio

Fixed gear downhill. Yes I know I’m slow.

  1. You got cadence and speed on the HUD but over on the right you can have the life expectancy of your knees and ligaments slowly going down as you’re pumping 120rpm

A few days ago i did 52 km/h on a short downhill sprint. it was the fastest time I was riding a bike, especially a fixie. the cadence was crazy. about 140 rpm. and it was the scariest and funniest experience i’ve ever had on a bike. for me it doesn’t matter how fast im in someone’s eyes. if you ride a bike for yourself and not for strava, the main thing is how much of a joy you have.
p.s. i may not be the fastest on a sprint, but i def now that i can keep a pretty high pace on climbing and long-distance runs. so may you, have a good rides buddy

  3. You kidding? You’re going over my max ever top speed on a fixed gear and that was with the adrenaline of racing a moped. I’d say you’re going pretty fast bro
