Chain to long?

Hello everyone, i recently changed my chaining to a smaller one, naturally I had to shorten my chain.
I removed two links, which at the time felt appropriate. 
However, when looking at the chain, it just looks too long. Should I remove another link? I'm starting a bikepacking trip next monday and I am worried about the chain lengthening even more…
Shifts and drives just fine, however, sometimes the chain hits the frame, which it didn't do before..
